What makes this work so different.

Most bodywork focuses on muscles.

This work focuses on the nervous system — the place where movement, posture, balance, tension, and focus actually originate.

Instead of forcing change from the outside, we create change from the inside by:

  • stimulating specific nerve receptor fields

  • sending clear sensory input to the brain

  • allowing the central nervous system to reorganize movement

  • releasing patterns the body has been holding onto

  • restoring balance between the motor and autonomic systems

Because when the signal changes, the whole horse changes.

This method is:

  • gentle enough for the most sensitive horses

  • precise enough for advanced cases

  • enjoyable for horses (they tell you immediately when something shifts)

  • powerful because it’s working at the source

There’s no forcing.
No cracking.
No pushing bones around.
No “putting something back in.”

It’s not mechanical bodywork — it’s neurological communication.

And when the nervous system gets the right input, the body can finally do what it’s been trying to do all along:

release tension, find balance, and move with freedom again.

This is not your usual Equine Bodywork.

No forcing. No fixing. Just the right input at the right time.

This neurological bodywork is gentle, precise, and extremely effective because it works at the level that controls everything — the nervous system.
Instead of forcing joints or muscles, we stimulate specific nerve receptors that help the brain reorganize movement, diminish pain, and restore balance.
It’s not chiropractic. Not massage. Not Reiki.

It’s a clinical approach that speaks the language of the horse’s nervous system — and horses respond to it immediately.

When you work at the level of the nervous system — with gentle, precise touch that meets their body exactly where it is — relaxation isn’t accidental.
It’s the body saying:

“Yes. That. Keep going.”

The release of tension, and the return of soft, synchronous movement is the goal.

Just remember, with my work, this is the result of true neurological change, the most upstream part of the system.

I see it all the time:

  • the blink that softens into a heavy-lidded sigh

  • the quiet lick-and-chew that says “I feel safe again”

  • the sigh that says it all

  • the grounded stillness that arrives when the brace lets go

They aren’t performing.
They aren’t being “good.”
They’re responding to a method that finally makes sense to their nervous system.

And that’s why horses not only relax —they enjoy the process.

.

Horses enjoy this work.

Real results you can see, and horses can feel

  • FROM ANXIOUS AND INVERTED → RELAXED, STRETCHING AND FOCUSED. “The changes were profound. She went right to stretching down and out in all three gaits. Far less anxious— she could finally focus on me.”

    – Peggy

  • FROM TOPLINE TENSION → FULL-BODY RELEASE “I haven’t seen her play like this in years. Trotting, running, jumping — she was having a ball.”

    – Liz

  • "I had my gelding off until this morning and he had his best day in some time. Your session Friday, and all of them for that matter, have been crucial. Thank you very much for all your help. Let’s keep it going!"

    -Lucas

  • FROM TIGHT, TUCKED AND GUARDED → FLUID, COMFORTABLE, AND FORWARD. “My horseshoer said she was more flexible than he’s EVER seen. No trying to pull her feet away. More comfortable, more relaxed — even a little lovey.”

    -Ellin

  • FROM STUCK PATTERNS → NEW POSSIBILITIES “You have a magic touch. I’m SO grateful for how much you’ve helped her learn her body.”

    -Rachel

Trained in the Advanced Methods Developed by Dr. Sid Erickson

This work didn’t come from a textbook.
It came from years spent watching, listening, asking, practicing, and being shaped by one of the most quietly innovative neurological bodyworkers in the field.

I apprenticed with Dr. Sid Erickson for five years, (and condintue working with him to this day), learning the precise hand modes, subtle neurological resets, and advanced sequences he’s practiced, many of which he has developed himself over 25 years of clinical practice.

This is the evolved version of the method —
refined by him tthrough tens of thousands of horses, countless patterns, and a lifetime of observation and feel.

I still consult with Sid when needed, and I bring that same rigor, integrity, and devotion into every session, clinic, and course I teach.

As a longtime educator, my calling is to translate this work into routines and guidance that make it accessible to as many horse owners as possible.

Not Just Horses…

While most people know me for my equine neurological work, the same gentle, precise approach also supports other animals beautifully.

I offer sessions for:

  • Dogs — anxiety, mobility, stiffness, old injuries, aging changes, tension, reactivity

  • Cats — tension, recovery, mobility, nervous-system support

  • Cows — movement issues, discomfort, stress release, topline

  • Sheep — structural or functional tension, nervous-system imbalances, injury recovery support

The principles are the same:
small, specific inputs that help the nervous system reboot, rebalance, and return to ease.

Animals of every species respond to this work — often with the same softening, stretching, and deep exhale you see in horses.
